Local Horace Mann agent Tom Strickler announced at the monthly DEEP meeting today that Horace Mann Educators Corporation (NYSE: HMN) is a new, national sponsor of DonorsChoose.org, an organization that connects donors to classroom projects in need of funding. As part of its sponsorship, Horace Mann will be providing matching project funds of up to $250,000. As a result of the grant, Horace Mann will help fund at least 1,250 projects by matching up to $200 of any donation of $400 or less made to DonorsChoose.org, up to a total of $250,000.
